DEEP GARDEN BY ZARA
While popping into Zara store the other day, I decided to take a look at what perfumes were available. Deep Garden is probably the most compared to Good Girl by Carolina Herrera - people call them dupes or even identical twins. To my nose Good Girl is far richer and more complex. Zara Deep Garden is probably more watered down. Plus the pyramids for two perfumes are totally different. Although I cannot claim they are very different. After all they smell and sound almost similar. I don't get the "identical"-ity, but rather similarity.
Deep Garden was released in 2018 and since then it has been gaining popularity most likely connected with the economy. Most people are into cheaper or budget perfumes given the situation in the world at the moment. So, as always, Zara perfumes lack longevity, which is not a huge problem for the price you pay for their bottles. However, I find that glass bottles also add to the value. They smell good, they look good too.
Anyway, Zara Deep Garden consists of the following:
Top note: pear;
Middle note: tuberose;
Base note: tonka bean.

Well, now back to describing what this fragrance smells like. To my nose it's a little sweet, playful and sparkly. With the notes mentioned, I do not get pear, but rather a mix of fruits which have a sweet neutrality. For some reason it vaguely resembles that chocolatey-praline scent, but it is more of an imitation, rather than coffee and chocolate together. There is just warmth of tonka, sweetness and calmness. I quite like it. Now the staying power is not great, needs to be re-applied, and it is not a problem. The perfume quickly develops into the dry down and it's something soothing, easily sweet and warm. It is worth getting this perfume for just the sake of comparing it to Good Girl, but if you enjoy it, then even better. Worth giving a try ;)
