Hello everyone! 

It's yet another rainy day in May and before heading out to wine tasting festival this Friday evening I thought I would talk about a very interesting scent that I got in summer of 2016. I was on a holiday back home and was in a search of something to define myself as "I-am-not-so-scared-of-you-any-more" type of scent which I thought would help me through to further tackle the problems of living far away from home with no family or friends and living in with an emotionally unstable person. Later would I understand that no scents in the world could have helped me through but myself just stepping up for better physical and emotional well-being. There is indeed no better feeling than one's psyche relaxed and healing.

Anyway, back to the Narciso Poudree by Narciso Rodriguez. Most of the Narciso Rodriguez perfumes seem to be airy, powdery and not very long lasting on my skin. I always find it very hard to catch the scent. This one is kind of powdery, grown up, sophisticated, however fades really quickly and the sweet powdery image dissolves into musky neutral calmness.

Narciso Poudree was introduced in early 2016, the shape of the bottle is classy square and the colour is the 2016 trendy nude pink skin-close shade. The top notes consist of Bulgarian rose, jasmine and orange blossom. Middle note is musk, and the base notes are vetiver, cedar, coumarin and patchouli. I can definitely sense the powdery vetiver and cedar, patchouli brings it down to earth, and flowery notes add an interesting combination - I always imagine a ballerina on the stage in nude pink gown, very airy, ethereal, floral, and as she moves the space gets filled with face and body powder scent she'd been using before the recital.

Altogether, I imagine this to be a mature fragrance - a good match for younger people but of a higher status, intelligent and already established. I might as well think wrong, but get the chance to sniff and let yourself visualize what comes to your minds. So long for now!
