Trussardi DONNA

Hello everyone!
Hope you're all doing well.

Now when it is summer already in most places of the world indeed, I wanted to talk about a very juicy and yummy potion called Donna by Trussardi!

I discovered this quite late after it came out. It is a remake of 1994 perfume of the same name, and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the House of Trussardi they introduced the new Donna and Uomo Eau De Parfums. Donna Trussardi is described as a fruity oriental scent. To my nose it is a fruity cocktail that gets weighed down by patchouli and some woodsy notes. Don't be fooled, this is simply adorable, zesty and playful scent for the summer. You can probably picture yourself in a long floating dress somewhere in Amalfi or Positano carelessly walking around small souvenir shops just killing time before the dinner and drinks in some cozy restaurant on the island.

The new Donna Trussardi was launched in 2011 and the nose behind the scent is Nathalie Lorson, who actually grew up in Grasse. She's behind many popular and loved scents, so no doubts most people will appreciate her creation. As she herself mentions in her interview, "The best thing is to wear fragrance, to live with it, to smell it, to experience it." How can you not agree? The perfume bottle is white and resembles the original Donna. It is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles.

So let's look into the perfume pyramid. The top notes in this potion are: Amalfi lemon, yuzu and fruity notes. The heart of the perfume represent the following: jasmine, African orange flower and lotus. The base are made of: sandalwood, patchouli, Virginia cedar and vanilla. Of course when all the best of the best are collected in one place the outcome can be either a terrible disaster or simply a heaven. For me, this is a really juicy heaven.

The first spray and the perfume opens up with so much fruitiness. In particular, yuzu is the most prominent one. As it starts drying down, the jasmine and vanilla kick in and later on the woods bring it down to be a calmer and a lovelier version of itself. I think you cannot imagine the scent without giving it a try. Even if I try explaining it very hard, you would still have to give it a sniff! Which, I do hope you will! :)
