Hermes - Un Jardin En Mediterranee

Hello everyone!
Hope the last month of spring is bringing you all much surprises and unforgettable moments! These couple of months with a scent from Hermes have been really exciting for someone like me who associates scents with things, events and people.

This beautiful bottle was a discovery for me when I sniffed it for the first time in the shop. It kind of smelt like salty water, spices and the dry down was just figs, fresh and juicy. Unlike Diptique Philosykos which is sweeter coconuty splash of green and wood, this one is more watery, spicy and lighter fresher scent. It is still very green and sparkly but what I love of all is the drydown. It is so soft and feminine, nothing overpowering or woody, just the simple easy and clean fig.

As to associations - it brings up memories of holidays on the beach, the heat, the cooling water, tasty food and especially fruits. Cannot wait for hot summer holidays to have this all over and enjoy the excitement! As to the notes: the top ones include citrusy vibrations with mandarine orange, bergamot and lemon, the mid notes are orange blossom and white nerium oleander, and finally the base for Un Jardin En Mediterranee is made of cypress, fig leaf, musk, red cedar, juniper and pistachio. Why am I not surprised I fell for another mapsterpiece by Jean-Claude Ellena even though she created this in 2003?

Anyway, if you ever get the chance to test it, please do so, and wait for the drydown! I promise you won't regret!!! <3
