ZARA Lemon Pie

Let's talk more about Zara perfumes, shall we? This time it's Zara Lemon Pie EDT.
Zara Lemon Pie is one of the three gourmand scents released in summer of 2018 and the best one from the collection in my opinion. It vaguely resembles DKNY Creamy Meringue but that is just in my head, I have similar associations with both scents. To tell the truth I tried spraying Lemon Pie on one wrist and the Creamy Meringue on the other. They are very far away from each other when it comes to the notes. Creamy Meringue is much stronger, louder and crispier, and the notes are sharper, whereas Lemon Pie is soft, airy and cloudy. However, the feel is almost identical - both are gourmand scents, calming, warming and relaxing.

So, let's see what notes are included in Zara Lemon Pie. The top note is lemon, middle note is orange blossom and base is musk. That is written on Zara website and other sources state that too. I can swear there is something creamy, milky, vanilla-like in the potion. It exactly smells like a lemon cake I tried from a famous local bakery. If this was a cake that would be the one I loved so much some 5 years ago. No one else makes similar ones any more :(.

Staying power is weak, but that is okay because this is Zara, it should be weak. But that's weak on the skin only. The smell sticks to the clothes and stays for a much longer time, let's say about one day. This is a linear perfume, the drydown is soft and feminine vanilla creme brulee. However, it is such a lovely gourmand perfume that it makes you crave for a dessert. It smells heavenly and delicious!
It is in no way a unisex scent, it suits females much better. It goes well in cooler and even colder weather. Gourmand smells usually make the brain think of a cozy and a warm place. So this one is definitely a mood fixer.

Hope you can give it a sniff while the stocks last, because I think these type of perfumes are sold quickly and they rarely come back to the shelves. It comes in that beautiful 100ml greyish and yellow bottle with no actual cap. It is also an EDT.
